# For prospective international students interested in our research group

Thank you very much for your interest in our research group.  

At the Large-Scale Networking Laboratory, we are looking for individuals who will enjoy working with us on research and meet the following criteria.

## Master's Program (Graduate School)

Master's Program (Graduate School)

  - Those who want to write high-quality academic papers.

  - Those who wish to present at international conferences.

  - Energetic individuals.

  - Those who can think logically or want to improve their logical thinking skills.

  - Those who can program on UNIX systems (mainly in Python) or want to develop such skills.

  - International students (who can speak either English or Japanese) and students from other universities.

To be assigned to our laboratory as a graduate student in the Master's program, you must enroll in the Department of Computer Science, Graduate School of Science and Technology, Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan.

### You need to pass the entrance examination

To enter the master's program, it is necessary to pass the graduate school entrance examination.  Past exam questions are available on the following page.

### Our department DOES NOT offer an English-only program.

Our research group is part of the Department of Information Science, Graduate

School of Science and Engineering, Kwansei Gakuin University, Japan.  Please

note that the master course program in our department does not offer a

curriculum that can be completed entirely in English.  While research

supervision can be conducted solely in English, students are required to earn

a certain number of credits in courses taught in Japanese to fulfill the

graduation requirements.

The Graduate School of Science and Technology DOES offer an English-only

program (International Master's Program). However, the Department of

Information Science, to which we belong, DOES NOT offer such a program.

If your Japanese language proficiency does not meet the necessary level to

enroll in and complete these courses, it will be very challenging to graduate

from the master's program.
